Parental Control
Basic parental controls are already built into Windows 7 to help you control what features other users of your computer can or can’tdo.
You can do various things such as:
To set up Parental Controls, you must be an Administrator of the computer and the user you want to set Parental Controls onto must be a standard user.

1. Click Start which is at the bottom left where the arrow is pointing. The start menu should come up, click on Control Panel.
2. When the Control Panel window is up click on set up parental controls for any user.
3. When on the Parental Controls window, under users, you should be able to see your user name, it should say Computer Administrator. The user you want to set up Parental Controls to should be a standard user. Click on the standard user account e.g Child.
4. The User Controls window should come up, click On, enforce current settings.
Time Restrictions
To set time limits as to when users are allowed to use the computer, you should click on Time Limits within the User Controls panel. To set time limits, scroll the mouse over the time table, click and drag the mouse. The blue indicates the times the user cannot use the computer, where as the white indicates what time the users can.
Games
To set limits for games you, should click on Games within the User Controls panel. To turn off games, change the yes on “Can Child play games?” to a no.
If you would like to specify what type of games the user can play, click on Set games rating. The Game Restrictions window should come up, within this window you can set what ratings of games the user can or cannot play, you can also block different types of content.
To block or allow specific games that are installed on the computer, click on Block or Allow specific games within the Game Controls panel. On this panel you can set specific games the user can or cannot play or allow the user ratings to specify which games are allowed.
Programs
To allow or block specific programs, click Allow and Block specific programs within the User Controls panel. You can specify which programs are allowed or blocked by checking or unchecking the boxes.
